Li Lu founded Himalaya Capital in 1997, where he follows the principles of value investing laid out by Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffett and Charles Munger. Today, he focuses mainly on listed companies in Asia, mainly China. Himalaya Capital strives to achieve excess returns by being long-term owners of high-quality companies with significant “economic moats”, great growth potential and driven by trustworthy people. Li Lu is a close friend of Charlie Munger and was mentioned ten years ago as a potential successor to Berkshire Hathaway.
